ABOUT CURATING FUTURES

Curating Futures is led by Associate Professor Jane Gavan (University of Sydney), Dr Huong Pham Lan from the Faculty of Culture and Heritage at the University of Culture, HCMC.

Jane is an artist–researcher working with UNESCO and university partners across Vietnam to explore how museums can act as shared spaces for memory, resilience and social change. Through co-curated exhibitions, forums and teaching partnerships, the programme brings together curators, communities, students and policy-makers to experiment with new forms of exhibition-making around themes such as food and war, and new material-focused research including the coconut in Vietnamese material culture and material science.
